Iceland Yoga & Adventure Retreat
Sept 12 - 18, 2026

For those seeking a meaningful and connected way to experience the wonders of Iceland.

The Land of Fire & Ice

Lovingly nicknamed due to the high number of volcanoes and glaciers creating a unique and magnificent landscape of waterfalls, mountains, lava fields and hot springs. Although some of the more well-known sites are easily accessible from the capital city, this retreat brings us north (way north!) where there are fewer crowds, more wide open spaces and many adventures at our doorstep.

Our Home Base

The town of Siglufjörður (Siglo for short) is a small fishing village located along the fjords, very close the Arctic Circle. Our private property for the week highlights bedrooms with beautiful views, spacious living areas, a large 20-person outdoor hot tub, in-house sauna and lots of cozy nooks for relaxing or socializing. We are surrounded by breathtaking mountains and the charming village nearby. We begin each morning with a light snack and a feel-good yoga practice, followed by brunch and our daily adventure.

Our Activities

We have an EPIC itinerary planned! Our days offer a balance of wellness and community, along with the chance to experience all of the best that Northern Iceland has to offer. This trip includes:

  • Whale watching near the Arctic Circle (I took this photo last year- it was incredible!)

  • A playful day hiking with huskies (SO much fun)

  • Trekking to a hidden waterfall that is right in our backyard (such as gem!)

  • An afternoon at the Forest Lagoon hot springs (beyond dreamy!)

  • Walking around Goðafoss- the powerful "Waterfall of the Gods" (and an interesting part of Iceland's history)

  • A trip to Akureyri, the "capital of the North," to experience local food and shopping

  • A free afternoon to relax or explore the town of Siglo

  • Daily yoga and journaling

  • Down time to rest, create, socialize and enjoy the sauna and hot tub

The Food

We have the BEST private chef for our week together! Tara (@tarasvegantreats) not only creates delicious masterpieces, but she is also an absolute delight to spend time with. Our meals include an early morning light snack (think smoothies, protein balls, mini toasts) with coffee and tea, post-yoga brunch to fuel up for the day, nourishing dinner and ridiculously tasty dessert. Everything is 100% vegan... if this is new for you, I will assure you that last year's guests (even the hesitant ones) could not stop raving about the food.

All meals are included in the cost of the retreat, except for 1 open dinner. We will ask about any allergies beforehand.

The Yoga

We will be plenty busy throughout the week. The morning yoga classes give you the space to slow down, tune in and really soak in all of the wonderful experiences. It is a time to process, reflect, be in your body and get inspired. Our cozy room with heated floors holds the space for us. The classes are a mix of Vinyasa flow, gentle stretching, breath and meditation. All levels are welcome and you are always encouraged to adapt anything in your practice.

What a Week!

Imagine waking up to serene mountain views and enjoying a hot beverage while recapping the magic of the previous day. Starting the morning doing yoga with your new adventure buddies, and then heading out for another enchanting day. Nothing feels better than a sauna or hot tub soak after a full day, AND one last thing- this is the start of Northern Lights season! As we chat in the hot tub until dark, we'll keep an eye out for the famous light show in the sky. This is a retreat that is so special to me and I can't wait to share it once again. Iceland awaits! Reach out with ANY questions!

Still curious? See what last year's guests had to say:

“The location and scenery are absolutely breathtaking. It really was perfect. What I am taking away from this week will be with me forever."
“I have been on 3 other retreats with Becky and I keep coming back! The retreats are always amazing, full of wonder, connection and adventure."
"I was initially hesitant to join since it seemed that the most common places to visit in Iceland were further south. However, the landscapes of the north, with the mountains, water and stillness were spectacular."
“Becky- I can tell that you fill your retreats with 100% of your love, Thank you for creating this space and making it all possible."
“This retreat was the perfect mix of yoga, adventure and relaxation. The natural beauty of Iceland was so awe inspiring and deeply calming. I can't think of a more beautiful place to be living in the moment and experiece a sense of wonder all around.”
“The food was out of this world."

FAQ's:

Q: Who is this trip for?

A: This co-ed trip is open to both singles and couples who share an adventurous spirit and would love to experience a group trip in a fun and intentional setting. While it is helpful to have a familiar yoga practice, classes can be adapted and adjusted to make everyone feel welcome.

Q: How do we get there?

A: From North America, you would typically take an overnight flight and arrive early in the morning to KEF. From there you will need to taxi to the domestic airport in order to take a quick flight to Akureyri. Some people may opt to add extra days to their trip or to get a rental car and drive. I can help you figure out these details.

Q: Is alcohol allowed?

A: You may bring your own drinks to the house to be enjoyed respectfully. Drink options are available for purchase at the Forest Lagoon, and there is also a local brewery which is a fun place to check out.

Q: Will your son be there?

A: Yes! My son Shay always travels with me. He does not participate in the yoga sessions but he does love connecting with retreat guests and he's excited to share his love of Iceland as well.
